St. Mary Star of the Sea is a historic Roman Catholic church perched on a hill in New London, Connecticut. Built in 1903, its soaring steeple and Gothic Revival architecture overlook the Thames River. It's both a spiritual anchor for the community and a striking landmark in the city skyline.

The Delamar Mystic is a brand new boutique hotel set along the Mystic River, just minutes from downtown and right next to the historic seaport. Blending coastal New England charm with modern elegance, it offers serene waterfront views, locally inspired dining, and thoughtful amenities. It completed construction in February 2025.

When it came time to choose a wedding location, we wanted somewhere that felt not just beautiful, but full of heart. Mystic felt just right — a mix of adventure, history, and cozy, meaningful moments. It’s small enough to feel personal, lively enough to explore, and close enough to New York to be easy, yet far enough to feel like a true getaway.
It’s a place where we can gather without feeling rushed — where we can celebrate, connect, and create joyful, lasting memories. We can't wait to share this place (and this moment) with all of you. 💍✨

💡Fun fact: Mystic's name is actually derived from the Native American Pequot term "missi-tuk". This term translates to "a great river whose waters are driven by waves," which reflects Mystic's location at the mouth of the Mystic River, a tidal river known for its waves and strong currents. So there's nothing really mysterious about it—if you were expecting fortune tellers or crystal balls, don’t worry—you’ll find lighthouses and lobster rolls instead.
